REGULARLY SCHEDULED EVENTS Homes Tours Sat 10 am, Museum, Plaza de Armas. Nov ' April $10 US or peso equivalent. Amigos de Educacion sponsor this guided tour of 3 houses in the historical district. The $10 fee is used by the Scholarship Fund to sponsorover 300 children of Alamos to continue their education.

02/06: Mayo Indian tradition of Phariseos making a 40 day pilgrimage on foot and in silence. The pilgrimage marks the negative forces within a village being cleansed.

02/06-09: First Annual Alamos Silver Festival featuring silversmith Emilia Castillo of Taxco. 03/08, 5 pm: Amigos de Educacion announces its annual fundraising event for an earlier date, March 8, to insure that all of you are still in town for this year's new Monte Carlo Casino Night. 03/21: Children's parade to celebrate the first day of Spring. Benito Juarez Day honoring the the former president's birthdate in 1806. At 9:00 people gather at the monument near the Pemex to honor Mexico's first indigenous president.

03/23: Easter Brunch Buffet at Hacienda de los Santos**

APRIL 2008 Month of the Child: Films, art, competitions and games culminating with a fiesta including the king and queen on the Day of the Child on the 30th.
